Hello fellow foodies!
It has taken a while ... but I am finally back online with a brand new Blog site.
A little about my purpose and intention for this blog:
I am vegan by ethical and spiritual choice. I have Celiac as well as other food intolerances, and my children all have severe food allergies (nuts, several seeds, many raw fruits and veggies ....etc.). I am also Italian ... so food is a big part of my life, not for the obvious reasons, but because it can be the center of family, celebration, friends and good times.
Over the years I have learned by many trials and errors how to perfect much loved recipes to meet our dietary restrictions. I am always happy to share my findings and discoveries, especially since I don't work with a recipe book, but rather in the kitchen, or what my kids refer to as: my science lab, and my husband refers to as my artistic studio ... I refer to as my house of worship! :)
I am a big supporter of whole, organic, local, seasonal, fresh foods. I take advantage of (organic and all natural) processed and packaged food for occasional treats and special indulgences ... but I try hard to be as close to nature when it comes to nourishing our bodies.
My plan is to provide EASY, FAST and NOURISHING meals on this blog. I am a full time, homeschooling mom of active teen and pre-teen boys. Our schedules are full and our adventures are many ... so providing safe, yummy and healthy food for my family is my ultimate goal!
