Gluten free. Vegan. Hand picked apples, Apple Crisp.
I played with this recipe over the years. Here is the simplest, easiest, and yummiest version!
Ingredients:
Filling:
- 5 cups of peeled and sliced apples
- half squeezed lemon juice
- cinnamon (sprinkle as much as you like!)
- 1/4 cup sugar
Topping:
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 3/4 cup GF flour of your choice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- cinnamon (in abundance!)
- 1 stick earth balance butter, softened
Mix all filling ingredients and place in a greased deep casserole dish.
Mix all topping ingredients and cover/top apple mixture.
Cover and bake on 400F oven for 45 minutes.
Uncover and bake for extra 15-20 minutes. Until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let stand at least 15 minutes before serving.
Serve with vanilla ice cream of your choice. Soy tends to be the best with this dessert, but coconut or almond will also do.
